The People

Darryl's miracle survival against overwhelming odds and his subsequent rehabilitation has involved many people and affected numerous lives.  Darryl estimates there has been over two hundred people from the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, Mater Private Rehab Hospital, Wesley Hospital and Milton Physiotherapy who have been directly or indirectly involved with his survival and ongoing rehabilitation. As Darryl often points out, it is not just his efforts but the collective efforts of a great team that has given him a second chance at life.

Red Blanket Miracle pulls together a core group of people who played pivotal roles in Darryl's journey.  These people are Dr Martin Wullschleger, Darryl's wife Julie Vermeir and Darryl's former pastor Grant Windle. Having been a part of the same miraculous journey, all four now share a unique bond and use their shared experience to help others to overcome some of life's toughest challenges.
